If you’re jumping into Season 11’s Tower challenge in Diablo 4, known as The Gauntlet, you’ll need to think fast and plan even faster. It’s not just about surviving like in nightmare dungeons – this one’s a timed race where every second decides your total score. The dungeon’s layout stays the same for the whole week, so you can memorise the route and figure out exactly how to move through it. Your aim is clear: rack up Proofs of Might by killing mobs, popping chests, and chaining everything into big score bursts. And if you need a head start gearing up for the season, having enough Diablo 4 gold in your stash never hurts.

Pillars are the real difference-maker. Think of them like shrines, but here they can boost your damage or even multiply your score for a short window. The trick is not to waste them – you want to pull in large packs, drag them to the multiplier Pillar, hit it, and explode them all at once. Triggering one with only a handful of enemies is basically throwing points away. The respawning boss shrines are worth your time too; they’re easy extra Proofs if you chain them right.

Because everybody runs the same map for the week, there’s a huge emphasis on pathing. The best players know their route down to the second. They’ve scouted where the densest mobs are, they’ve timed their pulls, and they save the most valuable Pillars for the biggest mobs. Early runs should be all about figuring out where to go, when to grab a Pillar, and how to keep your momentum without backtracking. Movement speed can make or break your score – stack it wherever you can, from boots to amulets, and use every mobility skill in your kit.

For builds, it’s straightforward: high offence, high speed, minimal defence. Since dying just eats time and chips away at your score rather than ending the run, you can get away with glass cannon setups. Huge AoE damage is the name of the game – think Rogue’s Twisting Blades or a Sorcerer that can wipe whole rooms in seconds. Resource regen is just as important so you don’t stall out mid-fight. It’s not about taking on a huge boss, it’s about keeping the kill feed running nonstop and cycling from pack to pack.

The rewards make the grind worth it. Scoring well earns you different Seals that mark your level of skill, while pushing into the top 100 each week lands you a Cache of Trials packed with top-tier loot. And if you make it into the top 10, you get your name carved into the Hall of the Ancients permanently – serious bragging rights that’ll stick around long after the season ends. That’s why so many players push hard here, and if you’re aiming high, it’s smart to buy Diablo 4 Items before your run so you can focus fully on the climb.
